NÜRBURGRING 24 HOURS: SIX HOUR UPDATE
Six hours into the 2015 Nürburgring 24 Hours and Aston Martin
Racing’s pair of V12 Vantage GT3s are running strongly inside the top 15, while
the #50 Aston Martin Vantage GT12 leads the SP8 class.
Despite rain and a drop in light conditions, the Aston Martin
Racing V12 Vantage GT3s have both had a clean race so far as the #006 and #007
teams play the long game.
“It’s all going to plan with the GT3s,” commented David King
Head of Motorsport at Aston Martin. “We’re staying out of trouble and looking
after the cars so we are ready to bring our best to the table in the final few
hours.
In the SP8 class for close-to-road-specification cars, the #50
Vantage GT12 has dominated on its 24-hour race debut to lead the class from the
green flag. The #49 Vantage N430 is running in third in class with the #48 GT12
in sixth.
“To see our GT12 leading the SP8 class for the first six hours
in its first 24-hours race and only second ever race is fantastic,” King
continues. “They just need to keep it up through the dark and difficult night
time hours.”
