According to Christina Nielsen, TRG-AMR Team Driver,
“Laguna Seca is one of my favorite tracks in North America. The scenery, the
atmosphere, the track - it’s all an incredible experience. I’ve been working
hard and racing every weekend for the past two weeks straight, learning
everything I can about the V12 Vantage GT3 and training hard. I know James has
been doing the same. We are coming here to win, like everyone, but we really
want this and are working hard to achieve it. The team has been great in making
sure I am comfortable in the car and learning everything I can about getting
the most out of it every time. Really looking forward to a strong performance
here at Laguna.”
Coming off an impressive 2nd place finish at the 12 Hours
of Sebring in March, Nielsen and Davison are looking to improve upon that
position and move to the top step of the podium here at TRG’s home track. While
the race at Sebring was over four weeks back, the duo has not slowed down, with
both drivers competing in three rounds of Pirelli World Challenge competition
since then.
The 2.2 mile circuit has been a Monterey area landmark
since the late 1950’s when it was built on the Fort Ord military installation,
flowing with the natural landscape and accentuated by the seven story turn 8
drop, infamously referred to as “The Corkscrew.” Drivers from around the world
have struggled and relished in this turn for decades, adding to the infamy and
legend of the track.
